So Much More to Come.

(How Folks in Indiana Think the Chinese Make Salad.)
I have been quite a busy B the last few weeks. I said goodbye to my duplex with the red door and temporarily left my love, Tinkerton, at my parents' house. The essentials are unpacked, but there is a lot of work to do before it feels suitably like home. We had the littles there last night and it was truly special. I like making dinner for my little family, I like playing with them, and I love watching their little faces when they're with their daddy. As always, something tells me this is all for the best for all of us.
As far as for my embroideries, I've taken a temporary hiatus. There's just been too much to do otherwise. I plan to do more quirky originals, which are more fun and much more rewarding than the monograms. I like making buttons, especially when they pile up nicely in one of my own ceramic bowls. I'll take pictures, because I'm sure tired of reading my ramblings here. My mind has been in overdrive and I apologize.
*When we went to visit friends in Illinois, our trip home took us through Indiana and several stops along the way. One was to check out "Cabbages and Kings" Antique Mall and a hole in the wall Chinese restaurant run by a Russian Trekkie and a snaggletoothed coked out waitress. (Was that too mean?) Here's a picture of the salad, torn iceburg lettuce and a bowl of ranch dressing. Sorry, there's no documentation of the giant ancient koi fish, the display case of randomness (including collectible Elvis dolls and Star Trek Pez dispensers), nor is there any recording of the music, although I'm sure any mix cd of Jack Johnson/Dave Matthews Band circa '04 will suffice.
