December 29, 2009

For the first time in at least two months, I scanned several of the design blogs I previously read everyday before I was obsessed with catching up on LOST in anticipation of the sixth season. By the middle of season one, I knew that my day to day and my netflix instant play would be forever changed. I guess it's back to reality now that the holidays are nearly over and I've got nothing to watch until February and even then it's only one episode per week. I don't know if I can stand it.

Maybe I'll catch up with The Office. While I'm at the office. Dunder Mifflin, this is Pam.

We've moved, we've settled, and as of today there is a mile long list of projects at the house to complete in the new year. Number One on my list, however, is to revamp SaysYou completely. I'm very tired of being a shop that sits in the shadow of the popular shops, the ones that do uninspiring crosstitch and napkins with hoops stuck to them. I don't mean to offend, dear reader, but I'm just not all that impressed. Whimsical? No. Original? Not really. Pretty? Not for me.

I have a severe case of procrastin-itis and I admit that I haven't had the gumption to follow through. My circle cutting skills are less than sub par, although I doodle nearly perfect circles during every mandatory staff meeting. I still tie knots. I still burn myself with the hot glue. I've never figured out how to ship my shit and everthing I took to Crafty Supermarket is in the box I took it in. But, I've been busy, you see. Busy with other things than what I really would rather be doing. I've been making other plans, but life has been happening to me.

Then there's this business called streptococcal bacteria. I think my throat is just angry at me.

I have a long list of things to do in 2010 and you probably don't want to hear about each one. I'll spare you the heartache you'll feel for me as I try to rifle through this mess. It's going to be a big big glorious year.

See ya, 2009. You were alright while you lasted.
