I would much rather be a ceramicist than an embroider-er or a secretary.
I've only worked with clay in an academic studio setting where the water hasn't been changed in several days and no one has scraped the wedging table. The wheels are left dirty and someone always bumps into your one perfectly round piece. I want to work with white clay in a clean studio where no one is talking about their prospective kiln purchase and how cheap they're getting it and well, no one is talking at all because no one is there except me. And there aren't shop glazes that look like soggy fruity pepple or ice cream puke. And someone always changes the water in the buckets.
I've stitched over 50 buttons. I'm ready for my pat-on-the-back. Who's first?
